Screening at community scale creates a rare opportunity: early-stage respiratory data from populations that clinical research usually reaches too late, if at all.
Our clinical research initiatives study questions that sit directly downstream of our screening program — how early spirometry findings track with later diagnoses, what referral pathways actually get people into care, and where access gaps do the most damage. Every study involving participant data runs under formal institutional review, informed consent, and the oversight of a licensed clinical investigator.
Where this connects
Clinical research questions are often the ones our screening and in-house teams surface first — a pattern in referral follow-through, a gap in a particular age group — and the ones our wet lab partners help explain at the mechanistic level. The three exist to inform each other.
